Festive colour!
Every time I look through my photograph collection my eyes are instantly drawn to these. Perhaps it’s because they are so full of colour and fun.
Shooting Outdoors
Working outdoors is a real challenge. You have wind, which messes with the hard work hair stylists put in and also makes it harder for longer exposures. Then there’s the sun (and cloud cover) which changes constantly and makes for interesting direction, you need to be on your toes constantly. If you’re shooting outside, make sure everyone knows exactly what they need to do, and bring an assistant. And here’s a tip: a reflector works wonders for blocking the wind, as well as doing it’s reflecting thing.
Here are a couple of recent shots for Kimberley Scott (reworked from an earlier No Formula shoot) taken in a park in Burleigh Heads. If you would like to visit her website, please see http://kimberleyscott.com/
A rainy day
I often say “I’ll save that for a rainy day”. I went to have a coffee this morning and captured some photos of people waiting in the rain, street photography has never really been my thing but I am enjoying it lately. The image of the child holding on to his mother is one of my favourites so far.
